These 16 postcards are written from the perspective of an important historical figure. This is a PowerPoint with the fonts included that I used in a zipped file. These postcards are editable so you can simplify or enhance for your students. Each postcard gives clues as to who the historical figure is. Students must figure out through research who the mystery person is. Hang these postcards on a bulletin board for an interactive challenge or extension activity in social studies. This could even be branched into geography by placing a map near the postcards and having students fin the states that are mentioned in each postcard. The possibilities are endless.
This pack includes 16 postcards, a template for students to fill in their answers, and a cover sheet for the postcards.
Historical figures include: Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Geronimo, Crazy Horse, Susan B. Anthony, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Milton Hershey, Pocahontas, Sacagewea, Christa Macauliffe, George Washington Carver, Alexander Graham Bell, Amelia Earhardt and Hank Aaron.
Great resource for Black History Month and Women's History Month.
