These rewards can be held up and uncovered one by one, or you can cut them out and pull them out of a cup or hat.
1: Introductory Questions
This reward is great for those students that LOVE talking. Generally, level 3-6 students will be able to answer these questions, however, some low level 3 students may not be up for the challenge just yet.
2: Tell Me Something About China
I love using this reward during the My Country, My Culture unit! This also works as a quick brain break and a way to get them to talk about something important to them. Generally, we will stop every 5 minutes and I will hold up the graphic and ask a question. The graphic helps to give the students a visual about what I am asking. Here are some questions you can ask:
-What do you eat in China?
-What animals live in China?
-What landmarks can you see in China?
-What do people wear in China?
-How do people travel in China?
-What do people celebrate in China?
-What language do people speak in China?
-What does the Chinese flag look like?
3: Would you rather?
This reward works best for students who have very good listening comprehension questions as they are not sentence patterns they would have encountered in VIPKID.
