Product Description
These HELPFUL FRONTAL LISP CUE CARDS can be used as reminders for students to remember to keep their tongue behind their teeth when producing an /s/ or /z/.

I explain to my students:
“The tongue is like the lion and the cage is like your teeth, you don’t want to let the lion out of the cage, so when you are saying /s/ or /z/ words make sure your tongue doesn’t pop out.”

You can explain it the same way with a snake. Explain that you want to hear the snake sound, but not see the snake (the snake would be the tongue, the cage would be the teeth). Use the same explanation for the tiger as the lion.

I put one of these on the corner of a student’s desk. I also give an explanation to the teacher or parent so they can help in the classroom and at home once the student is at the sentence level or higher. Especially carryover. The teachers can tap on the lion/snake if they hear a student producing an /s/ or /z/ with a frontal lisp. Parents can keep a few around the house as reminders for the child when he is forgetting to correctly produce the /s/ or /z/.
