Looking for a fun, engaging resource for volume of pyramids?
This math puzzle is sure to be a hit!
To solve the puzzle, students will first write 14 equations from a description of a square, rectangular, or triangular (right) pyramid. They will then need to solve their 14 equations to find out what letter to use and where to place it. The puzzle is two-part to eliminate guessing and to add rigor. This puzzle would be great for early finishers, test review, informal assessment, or to leave for a substitute!
