Great for table top literacy or game centres, Daily 5, extension activity or rewards.
Suitable for all ages in need of learning the vowels for the first time or for revision.
This game uses characterised pictures of the vowel letters: a, e, i, o and u and encourages children to learn to recognise and recall the vowel letter forms and letter names.
It encourages visual identification and recognition of what is the same and what is different in each vowel picture such that they can place the cheese token on the correct vowel letter character that the spinner lands on.
Also great for encouraging development of social skills like turn taking, rule following and good sportsmanship.
As children, can also have the opportunity to cut out the cards and game components themselves, this aspect is good for addressing fine motor control.
Game Set includes:
instruction card, 8 different BINGO cards, 2 game spinners & 2 pages of cheese tokens.
Enjoy printing the game out on thin white card or normal paper and gluing onto back of cereal packets.
Can be used in conjunction with my first app, Ricardo's Alphabet Game Board. Available in Apple and Google Play Stores for all IOS and Android devices. Pictures in this resource have been taken from one of the three games in the app. One game 'Vowel Catch', specifically focuses on teaching the vowel letter names and initial letter sounds.
