Kids LOVE to play "I Spy..." With this SMARTboard game, you can call students up to the SMARTboard and move the magnifying glass around the screen, searching for the correct answer to each question. There are four hidden answer choices on the board - only one is correct for each question. Once they settle the magnifying glass on the answer they believe is correct, they tap the red box in the upper left corner to reveal the correct answer. If it matches, then they are correct! I give my kids either a ticket for correct answers or a piece of candy. This particular I Spy SMARTboard review focuses on VS.9, a 5th grade Virginia Studies unit on turn of the 20th Century changes in VA and important Virginians in the Civil Rights Movement. The questions cover Pay as You Go program (by Harry F Byrd Sr), Maggie Walker, Arthur Ashe, Linwood Holton Jr, Oliver Hill, and Douglas Wilder. I usually play this the day of the unit test as a quick review ahead of time - takes about 10 minutes.
