This is geared toward Spanish Novice Low - Novice Mid students in Spanish 1.
The 1st story is about a girl who has a job, but has 7 days of vacation. With her passport, she goes to Mexico. The immigration official gives her a tourist visa, and after several days, she goes to Guatemala. Students will also pick up the phrases "goes on a plane/bus/in a car". But trouble arises when on her way back home, she doesn't have her passport! Uh oh, what will she do?
The second story is about a brother and sister. One has a job, money, and a house. The other has none of those. An invitation to come visit the first leads to both being very nervous after they can't find each other!
This file is 8 pages and contains 2 separate readings, 3 pages of props to use during acting out of the stories, and 2 pages of personalized questions, and a letter to parents explaining TPRS with an assignment for students to read the story to their parents.
I used this story on the 4th day of 8th grade Spanish, a day after students put together their own passports
