Adjective Activities for Valentine’s Day! The theme is “bee kind” and the idea is “fun”! These activities are designed to promote a positive classroom community while providing a quick review. It’s a fantastic activity for building vocabulary and encouraging words like “intelligent” instead of “smart”, reviewing character traits, and reviewing parts of speech. I’ve provided a quick review activity that I suggest doing before the banner activity. Next, introduce the banner activity and hand out directions. Passing the banners around the room will take some time, but it’s a lot of fun! I’ve included writing paper so you can extend this activity in any way you would like. In addition, you could have the students working on a writing assignment while the banners are being passed around so everybody is engaged.
The banner is a wonderful addition to your classroom and makes a great keepsake for each student! Valentine cards can also be used as treat tags!
