Love is in the air and it will fill your room with these educational and sweet-filled activities. Celebrate Valentine’s Day with the following activities.
Sweet Facts- Solve the basic math facts on each Hershey Kiss and write the answer on the paper banner. Use Red Hot cinnamon candies for manipulatives to help solve.
Sweet Facts-Solve each math fact on each Hershey Kiss. Write the answer on the paper banner. These are two-digit addition and subtraction facts with regrouping.
Sweet Challenge- The answer (sum/difference) is given on the paper banner. Students will write a math fact for each answer.
Sealed with a Kiss- This activity focuses on the “part, part, whole” strategy. Students will find the missing “part” or “whole” for each envelope.
Compound Cones- Students will match a scoop of ice cream with a cone to create a compound word.
Complete the Tweet- Twitter has posted a sweet tweet. Students will use the conversation candy hearts to complete the tweet message.
Create a Sweet Tweet- Students will create a Valentine’s Day tweet to post on Twitter using the words on candy conversation hearts.
How to Make Cupcakes- Students will read the instructions on each of the six cupcakes and place them in order from first to last.
