This game is designed to target articulation skills in speech language therapy sessions - specifically, the R Blend sounds. It may also be used to target blends in reading. There are a total of 44 stimulus cards and 4 game play cards included in this download.

Print out each page on cardstock, and laminate if desired. Place the pile of cards face down in the center of the table. Take turns rolling a dice and drawing a card. Each student must say the word on the card the number of times indicated by the number on the dice. (You may have the students practice at word, phrase, or sentence level, depending upon mastery level.) If the student draws a card that says, “Lose a turn,” then the student loses that turn. A card that says, “Give all cards away,” indicates the student must distribute his/her collected cards to the other players as he/she chooses. The person with the most cards at the end of the game wins.

Alternatively, the cards may be used as stimulus items for other games.

Expanded versions of this product are available for: Initial and Vocalic R; L, L Blends, S, S Blends, TH, SH, CH, & Z; and L, S, & R blends.
