This Valentine Delivery Counting Center
is a great addition to your Valentine's Day (or week) plans. Students will get to practice 1:1 counting, representing numbers, and writing numbers 1-20. Click the green preview button under the cover photo for a closer look at this activity.
- 20 Number Cards for numbers 1-20
- Valentine Envelope Counters
- Teacher Note/How to Use Page
- Instructions Card for students
- 2 Recording Sheets (1-10 and 11-20)
How To Use This Center:
Simply print the Kid Number Cards and Valentine Envelope Counters. Laminate for durability and cut. Put the materials out with the student instruction card. Students read the number on each Kid Number Card and "deliver" (a.k.a. count) that many valentine envelopes to go with the number card. Have mini valentine erasers you want to get use of? Use those instead of the valentine envelope counters!
How to Use the Recording Sheets:
The recording sheets are an optional extension to this activity. After students finish counting out for each number card, they'll use the recording sheet to count the valentines in the ten and twenty frames and record the appropriate number. The 2 different recording sheets allow you to differentiate for students working on writing various groups of numbers.
