Description

As a "Happy Valentine's Day" to you; I'm knocking a dollar off this packet.

What’s the twist?

Your kiddos will enjoy choosing a “writing prompt puzzle” to write a secret valentine message on, then coloring and cutting it out.

Beforehand, toss children’s names in a container & have everyone pick one. This is who they will make their valentine puzzle for.

Give students a paperclip to hold the strips together placing the name strip on top, then pass the valentine puzzles out on party day for children to put together.

For more practice, students could also make one for their family instead of just the usual card.

Besides the 17, “writing prompt puzzles”, I’ve also included a large variety of others.

The puzzles practice counting by 1s to 10, counting backwards from 10 to 1, as well as skip counting by 2s, 3s, 5s & 10s.

Some are vertical, while others are horizontal and feature a nice assortment.

Pick and choose your favorites to make a collection of choices for your students.

Print, laminate & trim the full color options and use as an independent math center.

I keep mine out for the entire month of February.

Another twist? To keep things interesting, have children play “Speed” against a partner to see who can be the 1st to put their puzzle together.

For a whole-group activity, print off the black & white ones, so that students can color & cut up their own puzzle.

Twist again . . . For an interesting “craftivity” have students glue their puzzle to a sheet of construction paper.

Remind them to leave a little bit of a gap between each numbered strip, to create an especially cool mosaic effect.

Completed projects make a cute bulletin board.

Final twist . . .

Besides the full-size puzzles, I’ve also designed a set of six different “Happy Valentines Day!” (4-on-a-page) mini puzzles, as an inexpensive little surprise for your students on party day.

Simply print, trim, and put in a Snack Baggie, then attach one of the 3 ”Happy Valentine’s Day” headers that are included in the packet.

The “headers” also double as a bookmark if you want to tuck that in as well.

In celebration of Valentine's Day, I'm pricing this jumbo pack at $4.95 instead of the usual $6.95 for packets of this size.

I’m Diane from Teach With Me, wishing you a very sweet February!
