### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Don't you just LOVE Valentine's Day? And, isn't it sweet when your students are having FUN and LEARNING at the same time? This NO PREP pack is full of fun and engaging activities especially made for reviewing math facts, basic grammar, reading and writing skills.

Here's what is included for Literacy:
Valentine Word Sort—sort the Valentine nouns, adjectives and verbs

Valentine Mad-Libs Spin—Mad-Libs are just plain fun and this is no exception! Your kids will be learning about nouns, verbs and adjectives as they "write" this Valentine tale. Two players per sheet. Using a pencil and paperclip, Player One spins either a noun, adjective, verb or emotion to fill in the blanks of the Valentine Mad-Lib. Player Two writes Player One’s responses on the recording sheet.

Grammar 1st: Proper Nouns—Students then search for proper nouns in the cupful of hearts and write them on the lines provided while practicing their capitals.

Sound Pictures 1st—This sheet focuses on blends—reading them well (individual sounds vs. blends) and unscrambling letters to form the correct word blend.

Sound Pictures “nk”—Another great sheet for improving reading. All words on this sheet have the “nk.” Students will read, find and write with this activity.

My Sweet Valentine—Students are given a Valentine word bank to compose one sweet note.

My Sweet Valentine Teacher Response—this is for you to give to your fans (my kids loved getting theirs!)

And for Math:
Hearts Number Sort—sorting even from odd two-digit numbers

Sweet Heart Math—fill in the cupcake with the right number to complete the equation (addition and subtraction).

Candyline Counting—This is a two dice game. Students will roll the dice. Mark the number on the number line with a heart candy. Then complete a task card—adding 1, 2, or 3 to the number rolled; subtracting 1, 2, or 3 to the number rolled. Students will complete a more or less statement before they roll again.

Sweetheart Place Value Spin—Using a pencil and paperclip, students spin for tens and ones to make a 2-digit number (numbers 1 to 99 are possible).

And finally a quick Craft:
Valentine String-Tie Envelope Craftivity—This is an easy, but super-neat envelope for your students to keep their cards together. The only supplies you’ll need are cardstock, glue or double-stick tape, ½” brads and scissors. Both the color or black and white version are included.
