Looking for a way to infuse some technology into your classroom, and yet still have students working with their fine motor skills to write answers? Look no further. This packet includes 4 math centers, aligned to the Common Core State Standards, that require very little prep. Just save the PowerPoints (and/or upload to Google Slides) and print the recording sheets. These centers are also aligned to the Second Grade Eureka Math curriculum and can probably be used with the Engage NY program too.
**I have included a PDF of the entire set so that you could even print out hard copies to use if tech is down, or you have a substitute and cannot use technology, or you're just not ready YET to jump into technology!**
What skills are included for practice:
*Skip a Beat Counting: practicing counting from 1 number to another, Eureka style!
*Comparing Hearts: comparing numbers; numbers are written in all forms: standard, expanded, word and unit form.
*Lovely Hearts: +/- 1/10/100
*Lovely Number Forms: looking at bundles, $1/$10/$100, place value disks, etc and recording the amounts in a specific form on the worksheet
Bonus: not digital card game--> Comparing Forms
Students can play this as a memory game or as a game of compare. There are 2 versions. First one is straightforward (1 hundred, 2 tens, 3 ones, or 500+30+2, etc) . The second set is mixed up more (45 tens, 4+700+80, etc) . Each card will find a match that is in a different form. If the game of compare is played, then the kids will decide if they will play a greater than war or a less than.
