Description
Target inferences in seven different ways!!
- 24 "What will happen next?" cards
Students choose an inferencing card and read the situation.
Then, they must determine a logical event that could happen
next.
- 12 “Read my emotions” inference cards
Students choose an inferencing card and read the description of
an emotion. Then, they must determine how a person who
acted/looked like that might be feeling.
- 12 “Emotion Charades” inference cards
Get out those acting skills! Students choose an emotion card.
Then, they must act out how a person who is feeling a certain
way might act.
- 24 “What am I?” cards
Students choose an inferencing card and read the 2-4 clues.
Then, they must decide what item is being described with the
clues.
- 24 “Who am I?” occupation cards
Students choose an inferencing card and read the description of
an person. Then, they must decide the person that is being
described.
- 24 “What am I missing?” cards
Students choose an inferencing card and read the situation.
Then, they must determine what item is missing in order to
complete the action that is stated.
- 24 “How do you know?” cards
Students choose an inferencing card and read the situation.
Then, they must determine a logical reason why they know that
the situation is occurring. Students need to take what they
already know and combine it with the details/information they
receive from the situation on the card.
