Students will love this activity where they use a magnifying glass to search for mystery words. They have to read the word, record it and then think of another word that rhymes. This activity comes with 4 different mystery pictures in both color and black and white. Two pictures have hidden CVC words, one picture has hidden CVCe words and one picture has CVVC words. You can easily differentiate by choosing which picture students use. Students could also use the CVC search to turn CVC words into CVCe words. Students will get practice rhyming and also practice changing initial sounds to make a new word. This activity could be used in word work or literacy centers, whole group or even homework. Have fun!
