This heart themed STEM pack is perfect for Valentine’s Day. It has everything you need to get your students engaged, thinking, learning, and asking for more in no time at all!

Begin by reading about how the heart became a symbol for Valentine’s Day. Then, learn about the human heart. Last offer students the opportunity to build a model of the human heart. The best part is that you can use any materials that you have to complete the challenge!

Students follow the engineering design process and reflect on their final prototype. There are two different options in this challenge. Students will create a model of the human heart or, for younger students, a model of a heart.

Included in this resource:

* Heart symbol article

* Human heart article

* STEM Challenge student pages
