A child should know their home address. It's amazing how many don't. This activity will ensure that kindergarteners and older learn their house number and street, their town and state. The students will be given ample practice in addressing envelopes properly, including their return address. Two templates for addressing envelopes are provided - both have scaffold support. The children are expected to use these newly learned skills to "address" the valentine envelopes for their classmates in a homework assignment. Alternative fictional addresses are included if the school policy doesn't allow sharing of actual student addresses. Explicit step by step directions (with photographs) are given to make the mailboxes. Again, many templates are included.
