Song titles:

L-O-V-E
This is a gentle song I wrote for a student of mine in a hospital school. The song needed to be quiet but very creative. When we sang this song together, we finger-spelled the letters of the word "LOVE" and created fun motions for all of the other words. Through the years, I have shared this song with countless students throughout the month of February and beyond. This song is well suited for K through 3rd grade.

Back Story of L-O-V-E
This is the precious story telling of the origins of this song; at the hospital bedside of a child being treated for complications of spina bifida. This song, written for her, helped us pass time in between her school lessons which we worked on together each day.

Who Should I Send A Valentine To?
This is a precious Valentine song which reminds us that Valentine love can and should be shared each and every day all year long. This song is well suited for Kindergarten through third grade students.

What Color Do You Paint Love? (or Painting Love)
This is a joyful, creative Valentine song that poses the question, "What color do you paint love?" Through the years, my students have loved to answer this, draw pictures of their answers to this, and sing this. This song is well suited for K through 3rd grade students.

I Like A Chocolate Heart
Here is the simple sheet music to the gentle, happy original Valentine's Day Song, "I Like A Chocolate Heart." This song was a sweet precious addition to our Pre-K through 2nd Grade Valentine's Day Program. The students created little motions, and we sang the song twice.

Is Love A Noun or a Verb?
In order to answer the Valentine question posed by this song, students will need to apply their understanding of nouns and verbs to their definition of "love." The melody is upbeat and very happy and the words are simple. Many fun creative writing and art projects for Valentine's Day could be spun from learning and discussing this song. This song truly brings together music and Language Arts in a wonderful arts integration style. It is delightfully well suited for 1st through 3rd grade students.

The Creative Piano- February
Playing through the year in the key of C is a series of short simple piano pieces written for my beginning piano students; one for each month of the year. This piece is for February, and the lyrics are about Valentine's Day.
