Vocabulary Memory Cards - 54 Card Set
25 Word Cards, 25 Definition Cards, plus 2 Blank Word Cards & 2 Blank Definition Cards.
Recommended for Grades 3 - 6.
Print front-to-back with Valentine Bears on one side and words or definitions on the other.
Cut, & Laminate. Store in ziplock baggie.
Good for Literacy Centers, or for Early Finishers
or print in grayscale and make multiple packs. - one for each table or team.
Individuals, Pairs or Small Groups.
Play is similar to Concentration. Place all cards face down, spread out so all covers are showing Player turns two cards over: if they are a match, player keeps pair. If not, cards are turned back over and the next player repeats. Goal is to remember where matches are and collect the most matched pairs.

Use the Context Clues Workbooklet to gain practice in using context to read unfamiliar words. Then, follow up with Vocabulary Cards to continue to strengthen vocabulary. Students are introduced to these 25 words in the workbooklet activity, but will most likely need additional practice for mastery. Research states that the average learner requires approximately seven experiences with a word for mastery.
