PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Valentine's Day Activities ~ Language Arts and Math Stations

Your students will have fun with these Valentine’s Day themed language arts and math stations!
**Cards are colored and recording sheets are black and white.

LANGUAGE ARTS STATIONS
1. Valentine’s Day Sentence Scramble
- Students unscramble words to make sentences then write the
sentences on the recording sheet. **Print back to back
2. Contraction Concentration
- Students match the two words with its matching contraction.
- Then, the students complete extension activity.
3. Sight Word ABC Order **1st Grade Dolch word list
- Students read sight words then write them in ABC order.
4. Sight Word Fluency Practice (using ABC order cards)
- Students choose a card and practice reading the sight words to
a partner.

MATH STATIONS
**There are five (5) different recording sheets you can use with the set of cards included. Just print one set of cards and you or the students can choose which recording sheet to work with.
1. Ordering Numbers (least to greatest)
- Students choose four (4) number cards and write them in order
from least to greatest.
2. Ordering Numbers (greatest to least)
- Students choose four (4) number cards and write them in order
from greatest to least.
3. Even or Odd?
- Students choose six (6) number cards and write the numbers in
the correct columns.
- Students put number cards back in pile, choose six (6) more
cards and repeat.
4. Before and After
- Students choose a number card and write the number in the heart.
- Then, the students write the number that comes before and after.
5. Place Value
**Print recording sheet back to back so they have at least eight (8)
problems to work on.
- Students pick a number card and write the number in the heart.
- Students color in how many hundreds, tens and/or ones needed.
- Then, students write the expanded form.
6. Valentine’s Day Addition and Subtraction Problem Solving
- Students solve addition and subtraction word problems.
** Problems include how many more, how many fewer and finding
the unknown.
