Finding Valentine’s Day activities for kids that don’t simply qualify as “busy work” can be challenging. If you want something different this year, something that packs more of a brain building punch, offer your children or students the Valentine’s Day Activity Fun Pack instead.

These fun activities aren’t simply easy ways to pass the time. They develop and strengthen critical learning skills, especially visual processing. Some exercises benefit executive function skills, working memory and auditory memory as well.

While activities in this fun pack make great intervention tools for struggling learners, you don’t need to have struggling students to enjoy all the fun. Offer one page at a time or print the complete 10 pack for early finishes, as a homework alternative, or as a fun yet sneaky solution to “Mom, I’m bored!”

My sincere thanks!

This Valentine’s Day Activity Fun Pack is ideal for students in grades 2-4. Intervention students in higher grades who experience learning and reading difficulties will benefit from visual skill-building practice as well. Each type of activity increases in difficulty slightly, so this 10-pack of fun sheets is perfect for sharing in your multi-level classroom or homeschool.

Note for therapy and intervention specialists: If you wish to add an auditory component to this Valentine’s Day fun pack, you may easily modify the 2 final Grid Art activities. Instead of asking students to work independently, read the provided coordinates out loud. Read one at a time to develop listening skills. Read two at a time to strengthen auditory memory (only for students who have at least a 5-unit recall). This is a fun way to strengthen executive function skills as well.
