Everyone likes to feel special on Valentine’s Day! This is a fun way for students to improve their vocabulary and an opportunity to build your classroom community! In this activity, students will use the secret admirer list to decide which adjective best describes each classmate. All adjectives are positive and one that will leave students feeling good!
After making their selection, students will anonymously deliver the Valentine’s to one another. In my class, students write their names on a bag and decorate it. Then, we set the bags up in a private location and students deliver their Valentine’s anonymously. In the end, everyone opens their bag to discover their special valentines. Every year, my students have so much fun with this activity! They love the secrecy and the confidence boost they receive after seeing how others view them in a positive light. It’s a big success in our classroom and hopefully it will be in yours too!
