Each individual topic includes five different versions of the puzzle, for a total of 70 puzzles! The versions differ in the number of graphics included on the puzzle and not in the problems. This allows for differentiation amongst ability groups because as the number of puzzles increases so does the difficulty.
To complete the puzzles with your students, first print out the desired number of puzzles and have them laminated if you prefer. Next be sure to cut out the sixteen pieces prior to distributing them to your students. It is important to do this first because the puzzle in its precut state is also the answer key. Next, pass out the pieces to individual students or a group of students.
Instruct the students to match up the original problem with its solution to complete the 4 x 4 grid. It is recommended that you try a puzzle on your own first so you can instruct your students on how to complete them. Trust us, once your students do one of these puzzles they will be asking for more!
