Product Description
This listing is for a printable PDF file. Just print, cut and play!

This listing includes four pages of heart shaped alphabet match-ups! Two Lowercase and Two Uppercase. My kids are always so excited when we do hands on learning activities! And I'm so excited to share with you the many ways you and your child can play with these printables.

- Scavenger Hunt - Hide the heart cut-outs around your child's playroom, bedroom, or around the house. Each time your child finds one, he or she has to say the letter they found out loud and then place it on the correct heart on the match sheet. This way your child knows how many more hearts are still hidden and practice their letter recognition as they enjoy a scavenger hunt. A sneaky but fun way to help children practice their letters. Bonus Tip: If you have more than one child you can assign each child a color or two so there's no competition finding the most letters. They can just relax, have fun, and learn. Then after the scavenger hunt is over hide the letters again and switch the assigned color(s).

- Table Time Matching Activity - In this matching exercise kids must identify and match the uppercase letters with their lowercases and vice-a-versa. This kids will have fun with this game as they practice and certainly improve their alphabet recognition skills. You can see an example of this activity on the photo with the baking sheet. What I did was print the letters out on card stock paper (or you could laminate them) then I used small strips of magnetic tape and put it on the back of the lowercase letters so they would stick to the baking sheet more easily. Plus, my kids love magnets! This activity is great to play at the kitchen table while your busy making dinner or bring it along to a restaurant, waiting room, or even in the car (if you use the magnets!)

- Musical Hearts - Arrange the heart cut-outs face down on the floor in a circle. Have your child walk around the the circle of hearts as music plays. Once the music stops have the child pick up the closest heart and identify the letter. If the letter is identified correctly, the heart can be removed from the circle. If it is identified incorrectly, return it to the circle - this allows another opportunity to review the letter. Keep playing until all the letters are out of the circle!

I hope you and your child can have some family fun with these games and activities while improving their alphabet recognition skills.
