This Valentine's Day bundle has 8 different activities for your preschoolers. Below is a list of what is included along with a description.
-Valentine's Day ABC Tracing
This is a simple to use literacy center. Print, cut and laminate the cards and cut apart. Give children dry erase markers to trace the capital and lowercase letters. This set includes 26 cards with both capital and lowercase letters on the same card. At the end of this file, you will also find numbers 1-20 too!
-Valentine Fill a Candy Jar
If an engaging center is what you need, this math center is perfect. Children need to fill their candy jar with 6 pieces of candy. All 6 pieces of candy will represent the same number. Pick a jar and find 6 candy hearts to go in it. Each candy heart has a number, ten frame, dice, domino or word. Pick and choose which hearts work best for your class. Includes numbers 1-10
-Valentine Beginning Sounds and ABC
These valentines are perfect for practicing beginning sounds and letter recognition. There are two different versions available in this download. Children will choose a valentine and identify what the picture is and which letter it starts with. They will then find that letter card and place it in the upper right hand corner. The second version is matching capital and lowercase letters.
-Broken Heart Rhyming
This rhyming center is perfect for Valentine’s Day! Children have to match the broken hearts together to make a set of rhymes. There are 20 rhymes total. This product is black and white, so I suggest printing on colored paper. Otherwise, just print, laminate, cut and you’re set!
-Valentine Cutting Practice
Cutting practice is a great way to practice cutting skills and build up those fine motor muscles. These pair well with any Valentine theme and I know for a fact my preschoolers cannot get enough of these. They could sit and cut them all day. Print on colored paper for added fun!
-Valentine Count and Clip
The Valentine count and clip is themed with candy hearts for numbers 0-10. It can be made self correcting by placing a sticker on the back of the card behind the correct answer. Thank you for downloading!
This center is great for working on fine motor control. Print and laminate the cards. Children can then use a dry erase marker to trace the dotted lines. There are 12 cards included. This is different than what is in my store and prewriting skills bundle.
-Valentine's Day Counting Emergent Reader
This counting book is great for Valentine’s day or leading up to it. This is an emergent reader with repetitive text. Children identify how many candies are on each page and they can color the pages as well. I have made this paper friendly. It is designed to easily be printed double sided. Once copied staple your pages in any order you would like and then cut! For beginners. I suggest keeping the numbers in order, for more of a challenge just switch up the pages before making the copies and children will really have to read and use picture clues to identify the numbers on the pages.
