Valentine's Day is an exciting time for students and teachers as children love to celebrate Valentine's Day!
In this Valentine's Day Pack students will be able to celebrate all day long (or month long!) with education centers and activities all revolving around a Valentine's Day theme.
This Valentine's Day Pack Includes:
Valentine's Day Math Centers/Activities:
Valentine's Day Ordering and Sorting: students can order numbers from 1-120, sort the number cards into even and odd numbers, and sort the number cards into less than and greater than 60.
Valentine's Day Fact Families: Students will help monsters find their "match" by pairing up numbers to their correct fact family.
Valentine's Day Number Grid: Fill in the missing numbers in this 120 number grid.
Valentine's Day Doubles Math Game
*Valentine's Day Printable Worksheets to hold students accountable for math centers. There are 2 Valentine's Day printable activities for the fact families as well as for each of the counting centers (1s, 2s, 5s, 10s.) These Valentine's Day printables are also intended to help in checking understanding of the math centers.
Valentine's Day Making Words Center/Activity: Students use letters from the word "Valentine" to see how many individual words they can create.
Valentine's Day Writing Center/Activity: Students will look, think, and list things that are pink and things that are red. Then students will choose words from their lists to put into sentences.

This Valentine's Day pack is aligned with the common core:
CC.K.CC.1 Know number names and the count sequence. Count to 100 by tens.
CC.1.OA.4 Understand and apply properties of operations and the relationship between addition and subtraction. Understand as an unknown-addend problem. For Example, subtract 10-8 by finding the number that makes 10 when added to 8.
CC.1.OA.3 Understand and apply properties of operations and the relationship between addition and subtraction. Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract. Examples: If 8+3=11 is known, then 3+8=11 is also known. (Communicative property of addition.)
CC.1.OA.5 Add and subtract within 20. Relate Counting to addition and subtraction (e.g., by counting on to add 2.)
CC.2.01.2 Add and subtract within 20. Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental math strategies know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.
