This 3D Craftivity is an entertainng and engaging literacy-based lesson that will lure students into the craft of a poet/singer. This craftivity can be displayed in the classroom or at home, and decorates any surface quite nicely.
This Valentine’s Day 3D Craftivity explores the song, “Battlefield” by Jordin Sparks, and asks the students to find figurative language within the song, record the figurative language and explain the language using text-based evidence. This activity specifically focuses on similes, metaphors, idioms, and hyperboles. This is aligned to the Common Core, and focuses on citing text-based evidnence.
This craftivity can be printed on construction paper, cardstock or regular paper. If you want to take the coloring out of the activity, print the craftivity on colored cardstock paper or construction paper.
