What a fun way to practice your speech articulation or language goals and make a Valentine's Day heart pushpin (pinning) (tracing) (dotting) craft in therapy. You can use the sheets for pinning (pushpins/golf tee), tracing (pencils/pens/markers), or dotting (glitter glue/white glue and loose glitter/pencils dipped in paint). This is such a great way to keep those little hands busy and motivated while building fine motor skills! Pinning strengthens the tripod grasp that you need to hold a pencil correctly! Dotting with glue will help teach the concept of only using a small dot of glue on your crafts!
The following images are included:
Heart: (all sounds are on this image) (a blank image is also included)
The following are blank (open-ended) images:
Valentine's Day Envelope
Valentine's Day Card
Every sound in every position plus blends are included. For each sound there are four words in the initial, medial and final position of words.
s blends initial (8 words)
r blends initial (8 words)
L blends initial (8 words)
Language concepts included:
I have also included NINE blank templates without the words so that if you have a student in your group working on fluency or another area of language, you can quickly write down objectives for their goal as well. How adorable would the these crafts be on a February bulletin board? I have included photo images in the directions to help you see how to create the crafts. Send this fun craft home for extra reinforcement.
