This Valentine's Day Fine Motor Activity Set is perfect for your K-2 Special Education Classroom, and can be a fun station in a Gen. Ed. Pre-K or K classroom!
The ABLLS-R goals that are directly targeted in this set are:
Z9: using a clothespin
Z12: snipping paper with scissors
Z16: cutting along paper with scissors
This set indirectly targets 3 additional goals by working on prerequisite skills and/or similar fine motor movements needed for mastery:
Z18: squeezing glue from a bottle (prerequisite skill addressed: using a hole punch will help with this skill by using similar motor movements)
Z14: stringing beads (prerequisite skill addressed: this is a similar motor movement which requires the student to maneuver string through a small hole, but is slightly easier because the paper is larger and easier for the student to grip.)
T1: matching letters to letters on a word card (prerequisite skill addressed: instead of words, students match to randomly arranged letters)
