Your students will love playing this fun Valentine's game all the while reinforcing melodic & rhythmic concepts and classroom instrument identification. Divided into teams, your students will "shop" from three different shops: "The Flower Shop," "The Stuffed Animal Shop" and "The Candy Shop." Each of these shops are linked to a specific slide that contains either rhythm reading, melody reading or classroom instrument identification. If the team answers the question correctly, they earn that prize for their team. The team with th emost prizes at the end wins! The hyperlinks make it very easy for you to navigate through the PowerPoint and there are game instructions and game cards included at the end of the PowerPoint.
Rhythm concepts: ta, ti-ti, ta rest
Melodic concepts: High/Low (pre- so-mi reading)
Instrument identifcation: pitched and non-pitched classroom instruments.
