To use this Valentine’s Day book activity, start by making a simple anchor chart for brainstorming. Use the included printable to make headings for people, places, things, and ideas (this can tie into a discussion on nouns!) and have students brainstorm together.
If your students are becoming independent in writing, you can then have them complete their own organizer. Finally, have them make their books by writing and illustrating a simple “I love” sentence on each page. You can choose which line style is best for your class and how many pages you would like to include.
Please see the preview file for more detailed images. If you have any questions, you can use the “Ask a Question” feature on my store page or email me at MyHappyPlaceTeachingProducts@gmail.com.
