This exciting and comprehensive lesson will have your students talking to each other in fun and informal conversations. Students will have a chance to interview their partner choosing from a set of 16 questions. The objective of the lesson is to have a full dialogue of at least five questions and answers.
1- Distribute the two page phrases worksheets to the class. Allow students to complete based on prior knowledge. Encourage guessing based on cognates
2- Review answers with the class. The completed answer worksheets can just be projected and you can share them with the class
3- Ask students to work with a partner. Each pair will need to complete “La Entrevista” writing prompt. They need to choose and answer from each other their favorite questions. The objective is a minimum 10 line dialogue. The dialogue will be written in the prompt and collected for grading.
a. Students proceed to write a summary of their interview on the second writing prompt “ Te Presento a”
4- Students read the second writing prompt to the class. To achieve maximum success asks students to take notes in English of each Reading. Ask students to read it aloud. It is an amazing listening comprehension exercise.
5- Collect them and use the prompts to make a collage. Great samples of student writing in Target language.
1- "El Chocolate"- Share this fun Cultural unit with your class. You can bring a small treat and have your students color the Azteca and do teh word searches and answer the unit questions
2- "San Valentin" word search and double puzzle. have students solve this delightful puzzle while teaching them a populas Spanoish saying " ojos que no ven corazon que no siente."
3-"Make your own Valentinos" Have students enjoy making their own Valentine cards in Spanish .
4- Old Fashioned Valentine- Have students color by number and Old Fashioned Valentine Postcard.
