Sorting Short Vowel Valentines Activity:
*Differentiated
*Activity can be completed independently, in a small group, or whole group using a pocket chart
*Students sort Valentine cards into one of the five groups of short vowels
*Two leveled sets of Valentine cards (8 total) are included for each short vowel to provide differentiation
*After sorting the cards, students record the words in the correct rows
*Two differentiated recording sheets are included:
1. Students copy/write only 2 words from 1 set of the Valentine cards for each short vowel (10 total words)
or
2. Students copy/write all 4 words from 1 set of the Valentine cards for each short vowel (20 total words)
