A variety of skills set to a Valentine's Theme

This Pack includes the following worksheets:
-Synonyms and Antonyms –Students read words in hearts and color the hearts based on if the words are antonyms or synonyms.
-Valentine ABC Order- Students put groups of 3 Valentine words in ABC order by labeling them 1,2,3.
-How many words can you make?- Students cut out the letters in Valentines and make and write as many words as they can.
-Contraction Match Up –Students draw a line from the contractions to the 2 words that make each contraction
-Broken Hearts (2 sets) –Students cut broken hearts that have 2 words on them. They glue the broken heart pieces onto hearts that have the correct contraction on them.
-Valentine Contractions (Fill in the blank)- Students write contraction words on the blanks in Valentine themed sentences.
-Hearty Punctuation – Students cut out hearts with question marks and periods and glue them at the end of sentences.
-Loving Nouns and Adjectives – Students read Valentine themed sentences. They write the adjective and the noun it describes.
-Is It Complete? –Cut and Paste activity. Students cut out sentences and sort them into 2 boxes – complete and incomplete.
-Make It Complete –Students rewrite the incomplete sentences from the Is It Complete? page so they are complete sentences.
Subjects and Predicates – Students circle the subjects and underline the predicate of valentine theme sentences
-Valentine Vowels – Cut and past activity. Students sort and glue words into two categories – short and long vowels.
-Valentine Word Families – Students write 4 words in each word family. There are 3 pages (1 short vowel word families and 2 long vowel word families)
-Valentine’s Mad Libs – Students either fill in the blanks on the story page or have fill in the blanks on the second page (list style) and then plug them into the story.

-Sweet Sentences - Students pick words from Hearts of Speech to turn into sentences
