This fun making ten game will be the hit of your Valentine's Day centers! Students will practice making ten by combining two numbers. Three paper activities are also included to reinforce this skill.
How to Play Valentine Flip Ten
Place cards face down in a 4x4 square. Remaining cards are placed in a stack to the side. Players take turns flipping over two cards at a time. If the sum of the two cards flipped is 10, the player keeps the match and replaces the cards with two from the stack. Play continues with the next player. If the cards do not have a sum of 10, the player flips the cards back over and play continues with the next player. The game ends when all cards have been matched to make 10. The player with the most matches is the winner!
Cards are available in color and black and white for your printing preference.
