Product Description
A Valentines Day activity for students learning to combine like terms and multiplication of polynomials. This activity is also ideal for a review for students who have already taken Algebra I. Students refine their skills dealing with multiplication of polynomials but also their inductive reasoning skills, as the pieces will only work out in one manner.
This puzzle contains multiplication of polynomial problems in the form of a 4 x 4 grid where students match up the simplified expression to the original expression. Five versions of the puzzle are included to allow for differentiation amongst ability groups. The puzzles differ in the number of graphics and not the individual problems. As the number of graphics increases, so does the difficulty.. Roman numerals are also included in the middle of the pieces so that a teacher can quickly check if the student is correct.
Your purchase includes a PDF file of the puzzles. Although it isn't necessary for use, it is recommended you print the puzzle on cardstock and have it laminated prior to cutting it out so it can last for years to come. Be sure to cut the puzzles prior to passing them out to students as they also serve as the answer key.
