Roses are Red...is written at three different levels, appropriate for kindergarten, first, and second grade students. There are three comprehension questions that accompany the passage. Students will practice determining the main idea and referring back to the passage for text evidence!

This Roses are Red... article freebie can be used in a variety of ways including but not limited to: guided reading groups, skills based groups, morning work/bell work, homework, group work, independent practice, and more! You may also choose to model close reading strategies for students and allow them to practice marking up the text and answering the comprehension questions.
