There are a number of activities that can be utilised with this packet:
The first set of coloured strips can be printed on card and cut up for students to put into order noticing the patterns that emerge.
Print out the coloured donut strips and equations to display around the classroom or make into little books for students to refer to.
The black and white donut strips can be printed out as many times as wanted to be used by the children to find their own number bonds to 10. Using two colours only to colour in the donuts, they can then write the number sum below.
To understand the subtraction bonds, students can cross out the donuts to be taken away/eaten on their donut subtraction strips!
The boxes of donuts can be printed on to card and cut out for a matching activity with the number subtraction and addition cards.
The last set of donut cards can be printed a number of times and used for playing snap addends to 10 or pelmanism finding the pairs that make 10.
