Product Description

Are you looking for a fun interactive way for your students to practice their number sense and beginning addition and subtraction? This set of Valentine's Day 4 in a Row game boards has your students racing to find their numbers in numeral, word, tally mark, dice and 10's frames as well as practicing the skills of adding 1, adding 2, doubling and subtracting 1.

Games are a great addition to your maths centers or guided math activity. Your students are having fun and are engaged in the activity and all the while they are learning and reinforcing math skills. There is a bonus for including games it also helps them learn how to play a game and follow rules, how to co-operate and how to be a good winner and looser (this may take some modelling).

Got students operating at different levels, no worries I have boards focusing on numbers 1-6 in 3 levels and boards focusing on numbers 1-10 in 2 levels, this allows you to differentiate based on their operating level and provide different levels of challenge.

Students have a game board, dice (or spinner) and counters. First person rolls the dice, they read the number on the dice and then find the number on the game board. They cover it with their counter (number already gone, then they miss a turn) and the next person rolls the dice. They keep taking turns until someone gets 4 counters in a row (either diagonally, across or down) making them the winner or until the whole board is filled and they are both winners.

To Prep the pack - you can print these pages in full color and laminate (or use a pocket protector) which would allow you to use the game multiple times and also use dry erase markers instead of counters for students to mark their number. Or you can print the pages in grey scale (they still look great) and students can use coloring pencils, felts or bingo daubers to cover their squares.

Included in this Valentine's Day pack is:
