Product Description
Have your students read the two informational articles I've written and then write their opinion about whether or not they think Valentine's Day should be celebrated! Everything you need is included: the nonfiction articles, a graphic organizer, stationery, and a rubric to grade the essays.

2. Text 2: A magazine article about the pros and cons of children celebrating Valentine's Day.

6. Exemplar: I wrote a model essay with the opinion that Valentine's Day should be celebrated. Show it to students to give them an idea of what you expect. However, there are at least 3 reasons in the texts that it should not be celebrated for students who have the opposite opinion.
