Valentine's Day is all about kids giving cards and candy to their friends, but what about Mom? Why not have your students thank her (or Dad, or Grandma) for buying the candy, and for all the other things they do?
My students love to make these for the special adults in their lives, especially Mom. The coupons allow them to give something tangible to say "I love You". (Hugs and kisses are the favorite coupon items, followed by back rubs and doing the dishes!) I put them in our writing center during the first two weeks of February, and students love them.
About one third of my students have parents who only speak Spanish, so having the Spanish option is a must!
Choose from color and blackline, and from English and Spanish. My kiddos prefer the black and white version, so that they can do the coloring (I appreciate this, since color printing is expensive!).
There is a preview to show you exactly what you will receive:
- Envelope in color and blackline
- Card in color and blackline (2 choices)
- Coupons in color and blackline(4 per page)
Directions: The envelope requires cutting, folding, and only a few dabs of glue. It measures 4 inches tall by 5.75 inches wide. The cards require cutting and folding down the middle, and are blank inside for students to complete. The coupons require cutting, and fit nicely inside the card. Both fit inside the envelope. My students secure the filled envelope with stickers I have on hand, but you can use tape or a dab of glue.
