Is your class having a Valentine's Day party this year?
I have you covered on party prep! :)
Just select one of three letters to send home to parents. Simply fill in the blank to let parents know how many students are in your class and (UPDATE) fill in the blank for the party date (UPDATE) prior to copying or have students fill it in for you.
There are THREE VERSIONS of the letter.
Each letter states that you will be having a class party and card exchange and leaves the date blank (NEW UPDATE so that it can be used year after year!). Each letter states that the cards should be signed near the "FROM" but the "TO" should be left blank for ease of passing cards out. After 15 years of teaching experience, this is by far my FAVORITE method of dealing with Valentine card exchanges in MY classroom - especially with Kindergarten and 1st grade students!
Letter One: Makes no mention of snacks, treats, or goodies.
Letter Two: States that the teacher will supply snacks for the party (this is my personal favorite that way I can control the amount of sugar my kinders get!).
Letter Three: States that you will have a sign-up sheet for goodies for parents to bring.
UPDATE 1/18/2015: I have also included a sign-up sheet which asks for the following items: cupcakes (spaces for two parents to sign-up to share the burden), juice boxes, paper plates, napkins, goody bags, and baby wipes. Ok, why baby wipes you ask? We love baby wipes at my school. They are safe for students to use on their hands and face without any harsh chemicals. Since our classrooms have just one sink, we lose too much instructional time when students need to wash their hands and/or face. Cupcakes are pretty messy. Baby wipes are the way to the go if you want to save time. :)
I hope you find this product useful and time saving!! Enjoy and please leave feedback if/when you get a chance.
