Product Description
Your kids will love going on a "search" for the perfect pet to bring home for Valentine's Day in this interactive Valentine book featuring 9 different animals and targeting lots of different language goals! Interactive books are engaging for nearly all little learners, and especially helpful in working with children who are visual and/or tactile learners, those who have limited verbal output, and children on the Autism spectrum. The moveable pieces give your students something to manipulate, which helps maintain attention, while also serving as a visual cue as to how many trials are left until completion!

This easy to assemble book targets SO MANY language goals, making it great for group instruction!

You can use it to target:
► Inferences (Guess the animal based on the clues)
Labeling animal vocabulary
“Who” questions (“Who did they send away?”)
Matching (icon to picture)
Core vocabulary “turn” (turn the page) and “on” (put the icon on)
Imitating animal sounds
Yes/No questions (Is a __ a good pet? or "Is this a (animal?")
“Why” questions (Why wouldn’t a monkey be a good pet?)

FORMAT:
•Every other page has a rhyme, giving your students clues about an animal and why the animal couldn't stay at the children's house.

•Below the rhyme is a visual cue of clue(s) given

•At the bottom of the rhyme/clue page, are two visual choices to help your students guess which animal the children in the book found.

•After making a guess, turn the page, and find out if you guessed correctly! On this page is a large picture of the correct animal. Below this picture is a box where your students match the smaller icon to the larger picture on the page.

•Below the placeholder for the icon placement, is a question: "Is a (animal) a good pet?" with visuals next to it for "yes" and "no," for your students who are learning how to answer these questions and still need visuals.
