These 9 Valentine's themed activities are great for in the classroom as well as fun at home! ❤
English and Spanish Color Hearts: [4 pages] For a matching activity- Make 2 copies of each heart, cut out, and then match them by color. For a sorting activity- Place matching-colored items (such as pom poms) on top of each heart.
Count and Match Bears Cards: [3 pages] Cut the cards in half at the splits. Children will count the bears and match the correct number.
Counting Bear Cards: [5 pages] These numbered cards with bears to count are great for circle time!
Color Heart Half Matching: [3 pages] For a circle time activity- Each child has one-half of a colored heart. Have them find a friend who has the same color and they can put their halves together to make one whole heart. For a table activity- Place all the halves on a tray and invite children to match them by color, making whole hearts.
Lacing Hearts: [7 pages] Copy on heavy paper and punch a hole through each black circle. Provide tipped yarn to weave in and out of the holes. We've also provided a black and white version on page 8. This last page could be an invitation for children to decorate their own lacing heart!
Uppercase and Lowercase Matching Hearts: [7 pages] Cut out each card and then cut again down the middle on the dashed lines. Match the uppercase letter to the lowercase letter.
Chocolate Box Shape Matching: [2 pages] Children will match the chocolate pieces to the same shape on the box.
Valentine's Writing Note Cards: [2 pages]
Trace and Color "Happy Valentine's Day" Sheet: [1 page] This sheet focuses on tracing the phrase "Happy Valentine's Day!" with dotted letters and doubles as a coloring sheet.
