These printable Cookie Sheet Math Mats and Printables for Marble Magnets are an easy way to create a fun and valuable Math/Activity Mat with very little work. .
Making the Mats:
To make the mat, all you need are the printables and inexpensive metal cookie sheets (I get mine at the Dollar Store). Print out the mats onto regular-weight ledger-sized paper. Trim off white edge from the paper and laminate if desired. Attach each mat to a cookie sheet. (I like to use double-sided tape.)
Print out the papers with the circles. I like to print them on glossy cardstock. You will need to use a printer that uses heat - ink from a regular home printer will run when it gets wet with glue. The smaller size circles on the page are the perfect size for 3/4” flat marbles. The larger circles are the perfect size for 1 7/8” marbles.
Glue the papers to the bottom of the marbles. You can use a paper punch to punch out the appropriate size circle first, if you want. Or you can glue the marbles to the sheet of paper, let them dry, and cut around the marble later.
Once the glue is dry, you can attach magnets to the bottom of each marble and you’re set!
