I created this proofreading exercise as a fun activity for Valentine's Day. It is a letter written by a love-struck teen, and it is full of many different kinds of errors. Students seem to distain editing their own work, but they love to find other people's errors. This one page letter has 70 punctuation mistakes, grammar errors, typos, etc. Proofreading this sappy love letters should prove to be quite a bit of fun to see who can find the most errors. This lesson plan can be done individually & silently, or quietly in pairs. I have provided 2 answer KEYS: one with the errors explained and one with the letter after it has been corrected. You can use this for fun, as a review, or as a quiz grade, and it can be corrected together in class.
