Valentine's Day Reading Passages (SOL 4.4, 4.5, 4.6)

This set of 3 Valentine's Day reading comprehension passages is a sweet way to engage your students all February long! Use these original texts and comprehension questions to review a variety of nonfiction, functional text, and fiction reading strategies. This no-prep pack is a huge time-saver for 4th and 5th grade teachers during this busy time of the year!

Each text has 8-9 corresponding questions including TEI-like items, multiple-choice, and open response. They go beyond basic comprehension and cover a range of skills such as summarizing details, making inferences, identifying the main idea, understanding author's purpose, and more. Word analysis questions are also included for each passage.
