Celebrate Valentine's Day as only a Math class can with this festive graphing activity. Students are given a list of linear equations each with a corresponding domain or range. The equations will occur in either standard form or slope-intercept form.
As the students graph the equations, they should connect the lines only within the designated zones. When they are done, they will have a picture of Valentine's Day icon.
Here are some tips:
A completed picture has been provided to be used as a key.
Use a ruler to align each line with its equation.
I have found that printing graph paper directly from themathworksheetsite.com helps out, but any graph paper will do.
Remember to copy double-sided to save paper.
Technology Option: Use your favorite equation and domain graphing software or website. I prefer Desmos.com
