Here included are differentiated worksheets focusing on recognizing and spelling sight words. You can use them as no-preparation print-and-go activity or set them as a literacy center.
There are a total of 28 - 8 worksheets in 3 different versions:
-Find and write the words on your own.
-Use the word bank to help you
-Scissor graphics show where the word begins and ends.
and 4 separate sheet for writing practice. Children are prompted to write a simple sentence or a short story (according to the level) and draw a picture for it. (Please see the thumbnails or the preview for a better idea of what is offered).
The three versions of the worksheets provide different levels of practice – assisted or not – but can also be used as a graded activity by the same child.
First they do the ones with the words given then they try the ones without clues.
One of the worksheets can be used as a hands-on activity. It wasn't created as such but it appears the presence of the scissors urges the students to use it this way and it actually works great as a cut and paste activity.
This can work great for literacy center, work station, additional practice, homework, homeschooling activities or other.
